About the Owner

 

Laura's Dance & Fitness Studio, LLC is owned and operated by Laura Marciano. Laura graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2012 from Adelphi University with a B.F.A. in Dance and a Minor in Business.  Upon graduation she received the Ruth St. Denis Prize. Over the years she has received many prestigious awards for her dancing and choreography such as the New York State Theater Education Association Award of Excellence in Choreography in Musical Theater, Elsie M. Warren Excellence in Choreography Award, Mercy Dance Co. Excellence in Performance Award.  Laura has danced with various dance companies and choreographers.  She was on the Brooklyn Royals Dance Team, she currently dances with Dance Visions NY and is the former Dance Director at Our Lady of Mercy Academy as well as Artistic Director of Mercy Dance Company.  She also holds many fitness certifications. She is an Isadora Duncan International Symposium Archivist.  Laura was named one of Long Island's Top 30 Young Professionals under 30 in 2017.  She was also awarded Adelphi University's Top 10 under 10 award for excellence in her field in 2022.  Then in 2024 she was chosen to receive the L.O.C.A.L Small Business Grant out of over 400 applicants. Laura continues to learn and grow in her field year after year.
