Important dates and closings for DANCE:

Sept. 9th - First day of dance classes

Oct. 14th - Closed for Columbus Day

Oct. 24th-30th - Wear your Halloween Costume to Dance

Oct. 31st - Closed for Halloween

Nov. 27th-30th - Closed for Thanksgiving

Dance Classes
All Tiny Tumblers and Pre-Creative Movement classes are 30 minutes; All Creative Movement, Combo, Twinkle Toes and Hip Hop Tot classes are 45 minutes in length; All other classes are 55 minutes.
Pre-Creative & Creative Movement- two to three years of age. A combination of creative song and dance to develop coordination and expression in dance. This program consists of an introduction to creative movement, ballet and tumbling.
Combo- four to five years of age. This program is also an introduction to tap, ballet, hip-hop and tumbling but is structured for the child who has already turned four years of age.
Ballet - ages six and up. The root of all dance, it also happens to be the most structured of classes, consisting of barre and center floor work.
Tap - ages six and up. A graded system of barre and floorwork, with an emphasis on techinque .
Hip-Hop/Jazz - ages six and up. A complete technique in dance associated with today's music, Broadway shows and video-style dancing.
Lyrical - ages six and up. A contemporary dance form that combines, modern, jazz and ballet. It is the most expressive form of dance. You must have ballet training to take this class.

Acro (Acrobatics/Tumbling)- ages seven and up. Acro is centered on fundamental acrobatic technique to increase flexibility, strength, balance, coordination, endurance, timing, body awareness, self-discipline, and confidence. Classes focus on proper hand placement and body alignment with emphasis on the muscles and flexibility required to perform proper technique.

Tiny Tumblers- ages four and six. This 30 minute class offers young children an introduction to the fundamentals of tumbling that will provide the building blocks necessary for their potential development in dance and overall fitness. By learning the benefits of flexibility, balance, strength, and body control inherent in all aspects of tumbling, your child will be better equipped to safely enjoy and excel in all of his or her future athletic endeavors.

Pom Dance- grades 2 & up. Pom is a style of dance in which the dancers use poms throughout the routine. It incorporates the use of proper pom motion technique that is sharp, clean and precise while incorporating other dance styles including jazz and hip hop.
